Bud for 3 Extra years

I thought we were electing a President this year, but apparently Commissioners too. Bud Selig has been extended through the 2012 season. This despite the fact that he had previously stated he would retire after the 2009 season.

I'll admit, I've grown to not hate Bud Selig. I'm at a strong dislike. I mean look at his accomplishments...

-Allowed the Steroid Era to fester.
-Turned a meaningless game, the All-Star Game, into a meaningful, but pointless exhibition game to determine home field advantage in the World Series.
- Nearly contracted teams because his owner buddies couldn't make enough money.
- Presided during the 94 strike that ended the season without a World Series played.

Seriously, he seems to be less of an owner's commissioner these days. But it might be the Congressional hearings causing that.

On the plus side, at least he is versed in the game he is overseeing, unlike one GB.
