Spagnuolo Rejects Skins

Good news and bad news. The good, Steve Spagnuolo turns down the Redskins, pulls himself out of the running. It appears he was not offered the job, but still, he decided to go back to the Giants.

The bad...Jim Fassel is back as leading candidate. Geez, I hope Marriucci had a great interview with Snyder. I really don't want to see Fassel in burgandy and gold.

The real question is how Spagnuolo was a top candidate in the first place. He had been in the position for only one year. This is even before the Giants won the Super Bowl. If we factor in that the great DL of the Giants were alreday there and the defense has carried the Giants for years then shouldn't he need a couple more years of seasoning? Why must Snyder waste people's time with these interviews for non-candidates or coaches that clearly after winning the Super Bowl probably won't leave or waste the fans patience. This appears to be a stalling or cooling off period from the initial Fassel backlash.

Well, it does not appear to matter, if the reports are correct that Zorn has now been hired as head coach.
