Capitals 3, Flyers 3
Can you say Game 7!?
2-0 with 10:26 left in the 2nd, it was not looking good. Then Nicklas Backstrom scored. 2 minutes left in the second, Alexander Semin put "the biscuit in the basket", as Craig Laughlin would say. But the best was saved for last.
After some 4 on 4 play starting at the end of the 2nd, the Flyers turned over the puck on the Caps end and Viktor Kozlov found Alex Ovechkin racing up the ice. Less than 3 minutes into the 3rd, the Capitals took the lead for the first time in the game with Alex the Great shooting it past Biron. For good measure, with 10 minutes left, Ovechkin scored again on a power play.
Wow, after trailing 2-0, the Caps go 4 goals unanswered. Game 7 is on at the Verizon Center tomorrow night.
