Mock Draft: Carolina Panthers

To continue our own mock draft, rotating the picks among the bloggers the Carolina Panthers are on the clock now with the 13th Pick in the draft.

Carolina sports some of the best bbq around. You can almost hear someone like Andy Griffith saying mmm....mmmm now that's good eatin'. We experienced some great bbq in Carolina at last year’s FFL Draft. It was a great party BJ.

The Panthers have so many needs at this point ranging from QB to RB to DL. After Matt Ryan there's a huge drop at the QB position, so drafting one now wouldn't be the best value.

Adding someone at running back to replace Foster and compliment Williams for a nice one two punch would be ideal and so would adding a defensive lineman to improve upon last year's sack total. The Redskins finished with more sacks. Mendenhall will definitely garner support and consideration especially with the falling stock in Stewart due to his injury.

At the end of the day the Panthers brain trust know how to evaluate talent along the defensive line. Derrick Harvey is a solid DE that should provide balance along the line and help Peppers regain his form. Help at QB & RB will be addressed in later rounds where the value is better.

Pick #13: Derrick Harvey, DE Florida

The Bears are on the clock with the 14th pick in the draft.
