Welcome to Nationals Park

With baseball season being back, it's time to see the ballpark. And for us National fans, do we have a great one.

On Saturday, while the team was out in St. Louis, the ballpark was in open house mode, allowing fans to experience the park. And maybe sell a season package or two. The picture posted is the centerfield entrance.

Nationals Park evokes memories of great elements of various ballparks and stadiums all over the country. As I got off the Metro and walked down the street, it felt like the time I was in Boston for Red Sox-Orioles. It reminded me of such as the Metrobus facility, in it's old fashioned red brick, seemed very much like one of the streets to Fenway Park...I think Yawkey Way? The concession stands on one side of the centerfield gate seem like the Maryland Terrapins' football home, Byrd Stadium, because they stand back, away from the seats. The interior food stands, mostly between first, home, and third, are similar to that of Camden Yards.

I had enough time to post this message and put up the one picture. I'll try to upload the rest and provide a link through this post in the next day or so.
