To continue our own mock draft, the Buffalo Bills are on the clock with the 11th Pick in the draft.
The top tackles and defensive ends are now off the board. TO was added to provide another scoring threat, but the key may be at the quarterback position. Is Trent Edwards really the answer? Will he provide the stability and steady hand that will keep Owens happy? While other teams have addressed other needs the best player available in the draft may just be the right fit for the Bills.
11h Pick: Mark Sanchez, QB, USC
The Bills get one of the top players in the draft and an insurance policy at the most important position on the team. 11 TDs and 10 INTs for Edwards aren't going to win many fans over let alone bring a title to Buffalo. For a team that ranked 25th in total offense with a play making receiver and running back most of the issues can be traced back to QB position. Adding another receiving threat in TO should help spread the field and provide Lynch more room to run. Should Edwards sputter during the season, a switch could be made to Sanchez and the future of the organization.
The Denver Broncos are now on the clock with the 12th Pick in the draft.
