Pedro signs with the Phillies
Anyone who thinks that Pedro Martinez is going to make any meaningful contribution to the Phillies did not watch him pitch with the Mets the last two seasons.

It is pretty amazing to think the Phillies blew $1M on Pedro then promptly put him the DL. Unbelievable.

Made the Express today.
I think Pedro is on dl because they had to put him somewhere. He probably doesn't have any options so to have in the minors he has to be on dl.
It does call in to question the eligibility requirements to go on dl. I know my boss didnt' let me take sick leave to recover from my vacation.
